Received July 2006 Accepted October 2006 INTRODUCTION Horseshoe kidney, first recognized at autopsy by DeCarpi in 1521, is a renal fusion anomaly found in about 0.25% of the population.(1) Malignancies are associated with this anomaly and adenocarcinoma comprises about 50% of tumors arising in the horseshoe kidney.(1) We report a case of renal cell carcinoma in a 66-yearold man and depict our experience in its management.
